Fixed Term Teaching Assistants x 2


The governors of Eaglesfield Paddle CE Primary Academy are seeking to appoint two committed, enthusiastic and caring part time classroom support Teaching Assistants, to join our outstanding school.  The posts are fixed term from 4th January 2021 until 16th July 2021. 


The successful candidates will be directed by the Class Teacher and SENCO and will support children within the mainstream setting.  Candidates should have knowledge and experience of working with children with additional needs.

Foundation Governors

The Carlisle Diocesan Board of Education are seeking to appoint a number of Foundation Governors to join our outstanding school governing body.  This is a for a four year term of office and would include attendance at six meeting of the full board of governors each year, along with attendance at a minimum of six sub-committee meetings each year.  In addition to this there would be an expectation to make a contribution towards project groups and working parties to support the school’s leadership team in the efficient running of the academy.


Foundation Governors are required by law to preserve and develop the religious character of the school, and have the wisdom and common sense to fulfil the role.  You should have Christian faith and preferably regular contact with a church, experience of school or work with young people would be helpful.  In particular we are specifically looking for candidates who have skills in marketing and public relations, the law, buildings and health & safety or in the education sector.


Training will be provided by the diocese and the local authority.
