At Eaglesfield Paddle CE Primary Academy, we believe every child is wonderfully made in God’s image and has the right to thrive. Through our inclusive FIDS approach (feel, imagine, do, share), we give pupils a strong voice in shaping their learning and school community. This empowers them to grow in confidence as leaders, to develop vital skills in communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, and to recognise that their voices can bring about positive change both locally and globally.

FIDS is also an example of courageous advocacy in action. We teach our pupils that standing up for what is right, seeking justice, and caring for others reflects the love of Christ in the world. By engaging with social justice and global citizenship, our children learn not only to speak out with compassion and wisdom but also to act with courage in making a difference.

Rooted in our Christian vision, we encourage children to live out values of respect, service, and justice as they become advocates for others and for God’s creation. As the Bible reminds us: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12).
