Message from Chair of Governors

At Paddle, the Governors, staff and parents work closely to ensure that each child attains their maximum potential in terms of social, emotional, as well as academic development. Furthermore, we see all children as individuals with different interests and capabilities; the recognition of this is found in the rich curriculum and varied activities within the school. It is in this way that we ensure that those important first years in Nursery and Primary schooling form the foundation stone for education in the future.

Whilst we strive to maintain the highest standards within the school, the Governors are committed to continually improving all aspects of school life. Through an open and consultative approach, listening to the broad range of views, we hope to keep up our proud track record of success. In the last few years we have achieved superb SATS results, attracted funds to enable us to extend the hall, kitchen and staff room, enhancing further what we offer the children.

Our outstanding and consistent performance was again recognised by Ofsted when Inspectors visited in November 2008. To be graded as outstanding in all areas is something we are very proud of as very few schools throughout the country have achieved this. Finally, I hope that your time with the school is very happy indeed and I look forward to your close involvement with the Paddle 'community', ensuring the very best for our children.
